Our list of rides and events is correct as of the time it is posted but things change sometimes. It is your responsibility to confirm the details of any event listed. Unless we don't have all the needed information, postings contain a contact email or phone number, and some have a website. We will make updates when we have them but watch our Facebook page too. Last minute information is often posted there.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Pedal in Paducah

McCracken County Public Library

2-3 PM Grab your bike and gather with riders of all levels to tour some of Paducah’s most notable spots in this series of laid-back, leisurely-paced, family-friendly rides. Rides are about 10 miles long and no rider is left behind. We’ll start and finish in the library parking lot. Wear your helmet! This program series is in partnership with the McCracken County Public Library. No charge.

Moonlight Bike Ride

Paducah, KY

A NOT-TO-BE-MISSED full-fun annual event. Light up your bikes and join in this Midsummer's Night "Ride In the Moonlight!" 8 PM Music begins; late registration & booths open. Ride starts at 10 PM. This is an easy "ride at-your-own pace" ride along marked streets with riders stretched out for blocks. All ages and shapes of people on all kinds of bicycles on a summer night, under a full moon. It's the stuff of stories. Start and finish at BikeWorld, 809 Joe Clifton Drive. 10 miles through low trafficked Paducah city streets. Bikes should have front and rear lights to legally be on the street after dark, but creative lighting of all kinds is beautiful and encouraged. Helmets required. All proceeds benefit PCM, (Paducah Cooperative Ministry) food bank, homeless shelter and aid to humans in drastic situations. A free souvenir tee is a bonus for everyone whose registration is received by 5 PM Saturday July 9, 2022. Sponsorship Opportunities available. Call for details.

Rock The Crater Ride

Middlesboro, KY 40965 1101 East Cumberland Ave

Starting in Middlesboro, KY through the backroads, scenic hills and hollows of Eastern KY with minimal traffic. Many of roads run beside creeks that are lined with trees, offering shade along the way. Rock The Crater has 4 routes -A 21 mile, 38 mile, 59 and a full century. All routes will run through part of the Historical Cumberland Gap National Park. A pre-ride (Friday in TN) , Rock The Crater (Saturday in KY) and post-ride (Sunday in Virginia), gives riders the opportunity to “Ride The Tri-States”. https://www.facebook.com/events/666165948153889/?ref=newsfeed

Bluegrass Century

Owensboro, KY

3 Routes. 100 mi. 64 mi. 35 mi. Ride Roll-Out 8 a.m. for all riders, regardless of distance. This is a charity event hosted by Bicycle Owensboro to benefit YoungLife of Owensboro. There are 6 SAG Stops for the 100 miles; 5 for the 64; 1 for the 35. https://www.kycyclingchallenge.com/

FLAT. Meet & park behind the warehouse for Higdon Furniture at the junction of Cairo and Moody Roads, Paducah, next door to Walker Stone, 4345 Cairo Road. Do NOT park at Walker Stone. From I-24: Take Exit 3. Turn East (toward Paducah). Go 1 mile to the building on the left. There is a choice for almost any rider who is on an adult sized bike. On the easiest ride, the leader rides with the slowest person and brings up the rear. Ride for 75 minutes.There is several other choices: Ride 20 miles at 14-16 mph or 20 miles at 16-18 mph; 30 miles at 16-18 mph, 30 miles at 18-20 mph too, and usually an EF group (extremely fast) Hang on if you can, and know the route because this group drops riders and does not usually stop to regroup.

The Cruiser Ride is the most reliable weekly ride. It leaves from BikeWorld each Tuesdays at 6 PM. This ride is the most laid-back, social, fun of the week and a great opportunity to have company when you tool around town, a perfect learning opportunity for someone just getting into bicycling or anyone who wants conversation and sightseeing. Sometimes in summer this ride even involves an ice cream stop! The Cruiser Rides calls for lights. As the season progresses there is often a faster ride that also meets at BikeWorld at 6 PM. Riders can show up and decide which group to ride with (or come already decided.)

Begins & ends English Sewing Machine store, 7010 US-68, Paducah, KY 42003 (Off exit 16.) Two routes available - Coal Mountain, 20, 28 or 30 mile routes, mostly flat to rolling. Also a new modified Elva Loop, 20 miles of rolling hills.These are rolling to hilly rides which some regulars use as their fastest, hardest workout of the week, but there is a less intense group that doesn't drop anyone.

5:30 in April; 6 PM after May 1

The Jailbreak. Meet in the parking lot of the McCracken County Courthouse, 7th and Washington Street. Usually a flat more relaxed, but fitness 14 or a 18 or 22 with rolling hills at a 16/18 mph with a group leader. Usually riders regroup a couple of times. Sometimes an EF (extremely fast) 20 mph+ group.
