Rides and Events

Everyday Rides

There are evening group rides every Monday through Thursday from late March through late October. The regular daily group rides are described further down the page. In order to finish before dark, the evening rides start at 5:30 PM from mid-Aprilthrough early May. After the days get longer the regular start time is 6 PM.  If the weather is nice there are often last minute rides on the week-ends throughout the year.  Call BikeWorld, 270-442-0751, check our FaceBook page or see Chain Reaction Cycling Club for details.

Good information

Check this page often for updated listings of all types of cycling events in and around our area. Rides require, at minimum, an appropriate bike in good working order, water, and a helmet. We suggest a spare tube, energy food, maybe a little cash in case we stop, and your committment to ride as a safe, sane member of the group. As many rides are subject to weather, it's a good idea to also confirm dates, time and any specific requirements. We'll see you out there having fun!

Dogwood Trail Bike Ride

Start at BikeWorld (809 Joe Clifton Dr.) 2:30 PM

This is one of the most fun rides of the year for everyone regardless of riding ability. Ride the Dogwood Trail around Paducah at a slow and leisurely pace. A follow vehicle will be on hand to pick up anyone who has difficulty or who gets tired. The pace is slow-to enjoy the beauty of Paducah in spring time. Entire route is 11 miles, but riders may turn back after just a block, or at any time. No Charge. Do wear helmets please, and register at the event. That gives us an idea of how many riders are on the route. Everyone is invited to a community potluck at back at the store after. Meat, drink & tableware and drinks provided by BikeWorld. Everyone invited welcome to bring side dishes to share. Hard rain will cause postponement till 4/26/20.
